As a travel nurse, you will need to be licensed in each state you work, so Prestige will reimburse you for the cost of each nursing license that is required for you to work an assignment. Note: Reimbursement is not available for licensing ancillaries such as fingerprinting, verifications, required CEU’s, etc.

Walk-through states

While some state licenses are obtainable in one to two days, other licenses can take 10 weeks, so begin the process as early as possible. The states listed below issue temporary licenses within 24-72 hours. A temporary license allows a travel nurse to practice while waiting for a permanent license to be processed.

24 hours: Idaho, Maine, Maryland, Missouri, Vermont
48 hours: Arizona
48-72 hours: Washington, D.C.
